Dannie Edwards

Volunteer - parent of a child with HFI

Dannie has a 4 year old daughter with HFI. She has been a qualified Secondary Maths teacher for more than 10 years, so has a good understanding of the education system in England. Dannie's daughter was the first in the family to have a diagnosis of HFI, and as a result her daughter was very unwell for the first nearly 2 years of her life. The journey to diagnosis was complex and traumatic, which led to Dannie wanting to volunteer for the charity to support other parents of little HFI-ers.
